Theatre is something that is often viewed as a sophisticated pastime – as humans we like to laugh, cry, be moved and be entertained by actors, but the invention of the television has unnecessarily restrained us to our sofas and armchairs. Many of us don’t seem to realise the wonders that can go on at the local playhouse.
