@LITWEETUREFEST Sunday July 1st 2012 marks the beginning of Kingston Writing School’s first festival of original literary tweets. Embracing Twitter’s ability to connect writers with their audience immediately and on the move and supported by Kingston Writing School as part of its ongoing commitment to developing literary talent and opportunity, this festival will be a micro showcase of the UK’s fresh writing talent. Featuring micro-fiction and poetry composed of 140 characters, new voices and established writers will be invited to take part, including some of Kingston University’s finest Creative Writing lecturers and Writers in Residence. Followers of @litweeturefest will receive one literary tweet each day for the month of July. The festival will focus on unusual voices not always promoted by mainstream publishing houses and submissions are welcome from all.
