Did IQs drop suddenly over the last few weeks?
The new administration in Kingston Council have to save millions of pounds or cut services.
They have come up with a proposal that, by way of changing the way we have our rubbish collected. It will save £4.2m over seven years.
They claim that is enough to pay the salaries of 17 social workers or teachers each year for those seven years.
Surely we can deal with an extra bin, and collections on alternate weeks, not only to save those vital jobs or jobs like them, but also raise our recycling rates and save something even more vital – the planet.
I for one will happily accept an extra bin.
I believe you would be selfish and ignorant not to.
