Letter to the Editor: Dimly lit roads put vulnerable at risk
I have just come back from a walk in Kingston and was appalled by the non existent lighting in Canbury Gardens.
I note there was an alleged rape nearby in September last year. It is now January and nothing has been done to improve the situation.
We must pay some of the most expensive council tax rates in the country and yet the council does nothing to ensure that we are not vulnerable walking its streets at night.
It is about time something was done to prevent rapes and sexual assaults in dimly lit areas.
