Kingstonian put an unsettling week off the pitch behind them to move back into the Ryman Premier League's top 10 with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Canvey Island.
Pelayo Pico Gomez opened the scoring after some good work on the left by Dylan Casey in the 29th minute before deft footwork and an accurate lobbed cross from Dan Bennett allowed Dan Sweeney to head home in the 37th minute.
Martin Tuohy got one back for the Gulls two minutes before half time, but there was no further scoring in the second half, while Canvey defender Tambeson Eyong was shown a straight red card in the 70th minute.
Ks confirmed last week they are paving the way to become fan owned by the end of the season as the club prepares for life away from Kingsmeadow.
