Terry Brown has signed Wimbledon legend Marcus Gayle for a second time. Gayle, the first signing Brown made in the club's promotion campaign, has been appointed as AFC Wimbledon's reserve team manager.
Brown said: "I was delighted when Marcus expressed an interest in the role and he is a great addition to the management team. "He brings a wealth of experience of playing at the highest level and I am confident that he can pass that on to the young players who we want to develop into first team players. "Part of his role will be liaising with Nigel Higgs, as director of youth football, and with the U19 and U18 managers, to help to make the transition from one level to the next as straightforward as possible. "He will also be helping me with the Monday training sessions with the younger players."
Gayle said: "I only really wanted to be at Wimbledon and I am very pleased that this has been settled so quickly. "I will be meeting the players at training tonight and we have a game on Saturday so I will be getting into action almost immediately. It's good to be back."
* Table topping AFC Wimbledon are at home to Weston Super Mare in Blue Square South tomorrow (3pm).
