Cameron hopes fans can see Swans improve
Walton & Hersham just about survived a reunion with some old faces at the weekend as striker Greg Andrews struck with four minutes remaining to secure a draw at Ryman Division One South rivals Chipstead – managed by ex-Swans boss Steve Baker.
But they were blown away 5-0 at Stompond Lane by promotion favourites Leatherhead on Tuesday night to see them slip to 15th in the table.
And Cameron, who is out to add two more fresh faces to his team, is confident – with the exception of the top two at least – he is shaping
a squad to compete with anyone.
“I see this second part of the season as a fresh chapter for the club,” he said on Sunday.
“I am very happy with my signings and I think we will be much improved.
“I personally believe we have a squad that can compete with anyone in this division now, but the old cliché is about delivering and being more consistent.
“There is a good atmosphere in the camp and I have players who care about getting results and moving us away from the discomfort zone.
“We’re grateful to the supporters and the committee who are backing us, and who can hopefully see the improvements each time we play.”
Walton go to Three Bridges on Saturday.
