Sunrise Senior Living of Virginia Water continues to lead the way in helping to make Virginia Water a truly Dementia Friendly Community
Following the official launch of ‘Dementia Friendly Virginia Water’ last year, Sunrise of Virginia Water, along with several other local organisations have been working together to raise awareness about dementia and support those living with the condition, as well as their carers, in the local area.
Sunrise of Virginia Water’s on-going Memory Café provides the opportunity to meet regularly with other local residents in a friendly and welcoming environment.
All can enjoy some great entertainment and meaningful activities while sampling delicious cakes and afternoon tea or coffee. The service presents a chance to exchange experiences and to give and receive emotional support.
The cafés take place on the second and third Thursday of each month from 3-4.30 pm. They are open to all and are free of charge.
