A Surbiton woman has been knocked unconscious and left with facial injuries in a violent late night robbery near her home.
The incident happened near the junction of Portsmouth Road and Brighton Road, in the early hours of Friday morning.
The victim thinks she may have been knocked unconscious in the attack.
Her handbag and posessions were stolen.
She was taken to Kingston Hospital suffering from a broken cheek bone, cuts, bruises and grazing. She also had stitches in her ear.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact Kingston CID on 0208 247 4909 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
