A cottage destroyed by a fire in Norbiton has been left in serious disrepair for months.
CNM Estates, the developer which owns it, has repeatedly been called on to address the issue due to safety concerns.
The derelict house in Station Road was burnt out on January 4.
In February, CNM Estates chairman Wahid Samady said: “We have secured the building and are working to restore it.”
However, nothing has been done since.
@RBKingston @kevinjdavis @FocusNorbiton @KBLabour for CNM to suggest this house has been made safe is insulting and wreckless. Residents are not stupid. Act now before someone gets hurt. pic.twitter.com/WE6FVrNOUA

Norbiton Ward Councillor Linsey Cottington said: “I have been in touch with CNM Estates as the local councillor and have asked for an urgent up-date not only on how and when they are going to make the burnt out cottage safer and more secure but for their longer term plans on reinstating the cottage.
“It is a complete eyesore and an insult to local residents to have to look at the very sorry state of this once pretty cottage.
“I trust that CNM will be contacting me directly, having asked them to do so.
“Local residents are very disappointed that the company are moving so slowly in resolving this unusual situation of a house having burned down in a quiet and settled residential area like Norbiton Village.”
A spokesman for CNM said they were “aware” of the situation, adding: “We are looking into the safest option for the building and should be resolved ASAP.”
