Two men have died in separate incidents when they were hit by trains in New Malden and Woking this afternoon.
The man who died in Woking was initally described as injured, but the British Transport Police (BTP) have since confirmed that he has died.
Trains have been cancelled between Wimbledon and Surbiton and between Surbiton and Woking while emergency services are on site. South West trains will be severely disrupted this evening.

A statement on the BTP website said: "Just before 12.30pm today, we were called to New Malden station following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
"Officers are on scene alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, however a man has sadly been pronounced dead.

"Officers are now working to identify the man and inform his family.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.28pm to reports of a person hit by a train at New Malden Railway Station.
"We sent a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic to the scene, with the first of our medics arriving in under four minutes.
"Sadly, a person was dead at the scene."

A statement on the BTP website said: "Officers are on scene alongside paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, however a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"Work is underway to identify the man and inform his family.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Trains are expected to be cancelled, delayed by up to an hour or altered. Disruption is expected until 5pm.
A statement on the South West Trains website said: "Two separate incidents involving a person hit by a train have taken place between Wimbledon and Surbiton. All lines are closed while emergency services attend this incident.
"Due to the time this has taken place, please be aware that our evening peak will be very busy. "

There will be a significant reduction in the number of trains running to London Waterloo, and the following changes:
- No trains either direction between London Waterloo and Dorking. Travellers will need to use alternative trains to Epsom and change there for Southern services, or join Southern services from London Victoria / Clapham Junction
- Trains between London Waterloo and Chessington South will not run in either direction.
- Trains between London Waterloo and Hampton Court will not be running in either direction
- Trains between Waterloo and Shepperton will be diverted to run via Richmond in both directions, and will not call at stations between Teddington and Earlsfield.
- Trains between London Waterloo and Guildford via Cobham will make an additional stop at Raynes Park, New Malden and Berrylands in both directions
- Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter/Salisbury will be reduced to one train per hour in each direction.
Tickets can be used on London Buses, London Underground, Govia Thameslink Railway and Great Western Railway via reasonable routes.
