Respite in sight after cold snap in south London

South London has endured a cold snap this week South London has endured a cold snap this week

Temperatures in south London are set to rise tomorrow after a chilly start to the week, say forecasters.

Despite another cold start to the day this morning, with temperatures only predicted to reach around 6C all day, Met Office forecasters are predicting a rise in temperatures on Wednesday.

A forecaster said: "Lowest temperatures will occur this evening, as clear periods will occur, especially across Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

"Then becoming cloudy later tonight and eventually milder as outbreaks of rain arrive. Minimum temperature 2C."

However, with the rising temperatures would come rain, he predicted.

"Rain, perhaps occasionally heavy, will clear eastwards, taking until early to mid afternoon to clear from Kent.

"Dull conditions will follow, with hill fog and patchy drizzle, feeling noticeably milder."

Maximum temperatures were set to hit 13C on Wednesday.

Well done again, Mr Jones, for your intrepid journalism in quoting ‘a forecaster’ – well worth a byline with your photo. Gold star!

That really wasn't a cold snap... that was just slightly less mild than it was before!
