Mike Tyson, the self-proclaimed baddest man on the planet, could be among a host of boxing legends coming to Kingston to land a knockout blow for children’s charities.

Boxing promoter Danny Maclaren said the former undisputed heavyweight champion would be a guest of honour at a fundraising event at the nightclub for the Blue Glove Foundation.

He will join ring superstars Roberto Duran, Roy Jones Jr, and Sugar Ray Leonard on the list for a series of events.

The launch will involve five rounds of white-collar boxing, featuring local fighters.

The first bout which will be judged by retired Panamanian middleweight Duran on 25 November.

Organiser Danny Maclaren, 27, from Ashtead, said he was inspired to start the foundation by the plight of his one-year-old daughter, Poppy Rose, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
