A signalling problem between Surbiton and Woking stations has caused cancellations and delays of up to 45 minutes.
Several services have been affected:
- Services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Woking will be diverted via Cobham and not call at Woking.
- Stopping services from Salisbury to London Waterloo will terminate at Basingstoke.
- Services between London Waterloo and Basingstoke will call at all stations between Surbiton and Woking.
- Services from London Waterloo to Woking will be cancelled from the 10:20 from London Waterloo onwards.
- Services from Woking to London Waterloo will be cancelled from the 10:32 from Woking onwards
Disruption was expected until 11.30am but National Rail workers now say delays are expected until 2pm.

Customers are able to use their tickets on the following operators:
- CrossCountry services between Bournemouth and Reading
- Great Western Railway between Exeter and London Paddington, Basingtoke and Reading, Wokingham and Guildford.
- London Underground between London Waterloo and London Paddington
- Southern on any reasonable route
