A man has been arrested after a stabbing near Tolworth Hospital.
The man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm after another man was found with facial injuries and a stab wound at about 3pm this afternoon.
A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said: "A member of the public approached an officer and informed them that they had seen someone with a knife.
"Officers made their way to Red Lion Road at the junction with Thornhill Road and found a man in his 20s with a facial injury and a stab wound.
"The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene and the man was taken to a south London hospital. We await an update as to his condition."
The arrested man is still in custody.
