A dog has been seized by police after a woman was left with a deep facial wound when she was attacked in Kingston town centre.
The white Staffordshire Bull Terrier-like dog was taken from the Feltham area this week and placed in “secure police kennels.”
Gem Moram, 25, was bitten at 11.45am near Barclays Bank in Clarence Street on July 13 and suffered a serious slash to her upper lip.
She was taken to hospital while the owner and his dog made off towards Kingston Bridge.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and a 53-year-old man from Feltham was arrested for an offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act on July 21.
He has not been charged and investigations are ongoing.
If you have any information call Kingston police on 101.
