Christmas cheer was in the air at Stoneleigh’s Christmas lights switch-on and late night shopping evening on Friday.
Families and young carol singers, plus Father Christmas and a town crier, turned out to the festivities at Lights on the Broadway.
Natalie Rogers, chairman of Stoneleigh and Auriol Residents’ Association, said the residents’ association and traders organised the event, now in its third year.
Ms Rogers said: "Last week the Broadway was packed with a variety of independent craft and food stalls, a fun fair, DJ, punch and Judy, town crier and even Santa himself paid a personal visit much to the delight of all those who attended.
"Shoppers and traders were entertained by Stoneleigh churches carol singers, and a number of local dance schools."
