Morris men, policemen on stilts, musicians and carol singers entertained the crowds at a fun-filled festive festival on Saturday.
Children and shoppers also got the chance to play Edwardian games in the town centre during Leatherhead Christmas Festival. The lights on the town's Christmas tree were switched on in the evening.
Councillor John Northcott, executive member for planning, said "It has grown every year and become a very popular family event.
"Although the Edwardians lived in a very different world, the spirit of Christmas is much the same.
"The festival is a great opportunity for us to connect with our communities and encourage residents to support local businesses."
