"A building must fuse with nature." So said the famous and much-respected architect Sir Norman Foster.
Epsom Station (and all the new buildings) with the much disliked Tesco and Starbucks coffee bar are a far cry from the great Norman Foster's idea of what is beautiful and its relation to the surroundings. Epsom Station wasn't meant to look this way. It was meant to reflect Epsom as a place and what it offers. It should be restored with some new practical improvement to meet with modern times and not have its soul ripped out.
As for the so called art! It is both infantile and silly and should have had a place in a nursery school. It is an insult to the people of Epsom. One feels sorry for all the commuters having to face this every morning and evening. It certainly isn't spiritually uplifting.
