A man was allegedly attacked outside a pub in Walton after stepping in when some teenage girls were being followed.
At around 12.30am on Saturday, September 9, three girls ran towards The Bear in Bridge Street shouting they were being followed.
Two men challenged the people chasing them, and one of the men suffered injuries in the following confrontation.
Surrey Police are appealing for information.
Detective Sergeant Kim Downs said: “This was a disturbing incident that involved a group of teenage girls being followed towards the pub, where we’re sure that a number of people would have seen what happened.
“If you were in the area at the time, or in the pub I would urge you to get in touch and tell us if you have any information.”
