An outdoor classroom to help children with special needs focus on art has been unveiled.
The project at Painshill landscape garden was funded by the Walton and Hersham Decorative and Fine Arts Society (WHDFAS) and officially unveiled on Tuesday, August 12.
A grant of £1,500 was given to the Painshill education department by WHDFAS to build the all-weather outdoor learning space, which will provide a safe environment for children.
The area will be particularly of use to those with special education needs because it will promote sensory learning.
Laurence Shafe, chairmain of the WHDFAS, said: "Painshill does a wonderful job in involving children in a wide range of exciting activities and we hope that the outdoor classroom will enable more to be done in a wider range of weather conditions."
The outdoor classroom will be used for painting and making sculptures with natural materials.
