A police helicopter yesterday helped search for a “high risk missing OAP”.
The 97-year-old man, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was reported missing by his family at about 4.40pm on Friday, February 11.
The helicopter took to the sky to join the search, and he was found safely in Wandsworth just over two hours later.
The police helicopter’s role in the successful operation was praised by Twitter user Andy Young, who wrote “I heard you. Cool job!”
