TV star John Challis, the instantly recognisable Boycie from Only Fools and Horses, has happily repaid fans of the show at a book signing of his self-published autobiography.
Challis, who was raised in south London, first living in Bexley before moving to Epsom, has released the book Being Boycie in the build-up to Christmas and was at Waterstones in the Whitgift Centre on Sunday to promote it.
He said: “I love the chance to meet fans of the show. Without their interest you we would be nowhere so you are repaying them, and it is the least they deserve.”
The 69-year-old explained the book deals primarily with his early life, getting into acting, and being cast on the Peckham-based sitcom, as well as anecdotes from his lengthy career.
