Croydon residents can show their pride in the borough in the wake of riots which devastated the community by sporting a new T-shirt.
Clothing store Timebomb has released a special charity “I love Croydon” T-shirt and pledged to donate all profits from sales to the Rebuild Croydon charity fund.
And Mayor of London Boris Johnson showed his support by autographing one shirt, which the Croydon Guardian will auction off for charity on eBay from today.
Profits from the auction will be donated to the Mayor of Croydon's clean-up fund.
He signed the shirt during a visit to Reeves Corner on Friday and said he was dismayed by scenes from the riots.
He said: “It was heartbreaking and stupefying. I simply could not believe what was happening.
“But there were many heroes that night and it is fantastic to see the community support and you can feel that in Croydon.”
