A Sainsbury’s store has chosen the Princess Alice Hospice as its local charity partner for the next year.

Shoppers at the Surbiton Sainsbury’s chose the Esher hospice after being asked to vote for their preferred charity to support.

Natalie Walters, community and event manager at the hospice, said: “We’re really excited to be partnering Sainsbury’s Surbiton over the next 12 months and would to thank everyone in the community who voted for us.

“We will be planning fundraising activities with the store colleagues in the coming weeks and we hope customers will support the fundraising efforts.”

Shop manager Liz Barker added: “Princess Alice Hospice is such a worthy local cause and we’re pleased and proud to be supporting it.”
