The grieving sister of a driver who died following a crash between two cars has told how she will never forget her “wonderful” brother.

Ben Deakin, 24, from Walton, died after the smash in Bylchau, North Wales, at about 6pm on Saturday, April 24, when a Hyundai and a Land Rover Discovery collided.

The Heathside School pupil, who was driving the Hyundai, died at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital at 5pm the following day.

Writing on social networking website Facebook, his sister, Hannah Deakin, said: "To my amazing and wonderful brother, Ben, I love you so very much, I will never forget you. You have been an absolutely wonderful supportive, loving and generous brother.

“I could have never asked for a better brother. You mean the world to me, Mum and Dad. Love Your darling sister Hannah xxxxxxx"

A school friend told the Elmbridge Guardian: "All I can say is that he was a fantastic guy, liked by all. He had lots of friends and was always out socialising and having a laugh. He will be missed by all."

The front seat passenger, Oliver James Guerreri, 23, from Southampton, died at the scene, a spokesperson for North Wales Police said.

The driver of the other car, a man in his 40s from Liverpool, was treated for minor injuries in hospital and has since been released.
