An interactive presentation about how history can turn on seemingly insignificant incidents enthralled students at a Surbiton school.
Alex Scarrow, author of the Time Rider series, entertained students at Shrewsbury House School on Tuesday, March 8.
The books feature people saved from death to prevent others misusing time travel to change history.
The former computer game designer read the first few pages of The Doomsday Code, the third book in the series, before signing copies.
Principal Kevin Doble said: "The boys thoroughly enjoyed Alex Scarrow’s visit, and they were completely engaged by his reading and his fantastic imagination.
"We find author visits are a wonderful way to extend the boy’s awareness of new authors and genres. It certainly proved to be a very lively and worthwhile morning."
