A love-themed fashion show of dresses made from recycled materials raised over £3,000 for a charity helping children and adults with leukaemia.

Students from Surbiton High Senior School raised funds for the Full Circle Fund and competed for house points in the competition on Thursday, February 17.

The girls also borrowed boys from Hampton School to model clothes leant to them by high street retailers, and watched a gymnastics display from four members of the Britain's Got Talent winning troupe Spelbound.

Principal Ann Haydon said: “This is one of my favourite dates in the school calendar. There were so many creative designs and sophisticated routines and it was wonderful to see girls working together across the year groups, designing, modelling and assisting back stage.

“I am delighted we raised such a substantial amount for the Full Circle Fund, which supports patients undergoing bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy whilst staying in the Ruth Myles Ward at St George's Hospital.”
