Kingston Council will make public the details of sites it considered for a new primary school before Surbiton Hospital was chosen.
Opponents and supporters of the proposed primary school in Ewell Road want to see evidence Kingston Council seriously considered other locations.
At the south of the borough neighbourhood committee on February 9, schools project manager Beth Revell told councillors the options appraisal document, giving more detail about why other sites were rejected, would be released.
Lynne Finnerty, who opposed a new school on the Surbiton site, said: "We have been trying since May. A resident put in a Freedom of Information request and was told it contained commercially confidential information.
"I don’t believe they looked at the King Charles Centre."
Kingston Council said it did look at the centre in Tolworth, as well as allotments in Surbiton and Tolworth, Surbiton police station, the Police Federation site, Newent House, Surbiton Tennis Club, the Territorial Army site in Portsmouth Road and Paragon Place.
A decision on the application for a new health centre and primary school is due to be made by the development control committee on March 3.
