A man and a woman were taken to hospital on Sunday evening after a multi-vehicle road accident on the A3 in between New Malden and Surbiton on Sunday evening.

Four cars were involved in the incident, which happened on the A3 Southbound between New Malden and Surbiton, at about 9.30pm.

A firefighter from Surbiton fire station said: “The paramedics told us that the woman was more in shock than anything else, but obviously you have to take precautions after an accident of this type.”
