A Surbiton fundraiser undertook one of the country’s most demanding treks on Saturday, June 12, to raise money for some of the UK’s most isolated communities.
Richard Johnson and his team Witless Wanderers hiked 54 miles across Scotland’s demanding landscape in the Tennents Caledonian Challenge 2010.
The challenge, designed to be completed in 24 hours, was the equivalent of a double marathon and two ascents of Ben Nevis.
Mr Johnson said: “It’s been the best walk I’ve ever done. The stunning Scottish Highlands, Ben Nevis, Buchaille Etive Mor, Rannoch Moor and the beautiful Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park all in one day.”
