racist attack: An Asian shop worker suffered a split lip and bloody nose in a racially-motivated daylight attack in New Malden. A recent registration blue BMW stopped alongside the 20-year-old in Burlington Road, between Shannon Corner and Fountain roundabout, at about 9.25am on Saturday. A balding, white male passenger, aged about 27, 5ft 8ins, and who wore a white vest and jeans, got out, shouted racist abuse and punched the man before driving off with two other men.

conmen strike: Three conmen stole £100 from an 84-year-old Kingston man after pretending they needed to check his flat for leaks. The pensioner let the men, all white and aged about 20, into his flat in Penrhyn Road at 3.30pm on Friday. Two of the men had Irish accents and fair complexions. One was 5ft 9ins, slim, with short hair and wore a short-sleeved shirt. The second was 5ft 7ins, stocky, with a blue baseball cap.

student injured: A gang of youths punched and headbutted a 22-year-old student in Eden Street, Kingston, on Saturday night, in what police believe was a racially-motivated attack. The group of four or five white men, some in white t-shirts, attacked the black man outside McDonald's at 9.15pm on Saturday. A 26-year-old man and a 15-year-old youth have been arrested and bailed to return to Kingston police station.
