An 18-year-old has been bound over to keep the peace after he followed a woman along Coombe Road, in New Malden, tried to kiss her and licked her on the neck.
Thashikanthan Nadaras, from Buckhold Road, Wandsworth, followed the 18-year-old woman and her friend, but when her friend left, he then started talking to her and grabbed her hands.
She was then pulled towards him as he tried to kiss her and licked her neck.
The terrified woman ran off following the incident, which happened at 7.40pm on April 23.
Later that same evening, she spotted Nadaras waiting at a bus stop and identified him to police.
Nadaras, who works at the KFC restaurant in Wandsworth, was found guilty of common assault at Kingston Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He told the court he thought he knew the woman.
Magistrates told the defendant he was bound over to keep the peace for one year and made it clear he would be ordered to pay £200 if he breached the condition.
