DANGEROUS DOG: A Jack Russell terrier which attacked a two-year-old boy outside Cedars Club in Richmond Hill last Wednesday has been seized from its owner under the Dangerous Dogs Act. The American toddler, who was visiting the borough with his parents, was left needing reconstructive surgery after bending down to stroke the dog and having his top lip and nose savaged.

WOMAN FALLS: An air ambulance landed on Kingston's Elm Road recreation ground to tend to a woman who had fallen down the stairs of her flat in David Twigg Close on Monday, last week, at 6.30pm. The woman was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting by road and treated for minor injuries.

RIBBON CUT: Children from Our Lady Immaculate Primary School in Tolworth cut the ribbon to open a new Co-op store in Surbiton. Manager Hazel O'Connor presented the youngsters with a £250 cheque for the school, during the event at the store in Ewell Road on Thursday. The former Alldays store has undergone a £130,000 revamp.
