Zac Goldsmith returns to Kingston Mosque with Imran Khan

Zac Goldsmith, Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Richmond Park, will join his sister Jemima and former cricketer Imran Khan at Kingston Mosque on Friday, March 12.

Ms Khan is a Unicef ambassador and the former wife of Mr Khan, who turned his hand to politics after giving up his cricket career.

Mr Goldsmith will talk to mosque-goers from noon until 2pm, listening to the community’s concerns.

He said: “We have a thriving Pakistani community in Kingston and I want to hear their views and concerns.”

It is not the first time Mr Khan has visited the mosque and on a previous visit he told people he was supporting Mr Goldsmith’s campaign because he had all of the qualities to become an excellent MP.

Since being selected to run for the Richmond Park and north Kingston seat, Mr Goldsmith had held more than 160 public meetings.

I wonder how Mr Imran Khan justifies his support for his ex-brother-in-law Mr Zac Goldsmith when Mr Khan head a political party in Pakistan which is anti-war in Afghanistan and Mr Goldsmith's Conservative Party is pro-war? Does Mr Khan really believe that Mr Goldsmith, who claims to be anti-war will make any difference to his party's policies?

Susan Kramer MP has been a great constituency member of parliament and her Liberal Democrat Party has been anti-war all along. In my opinion, we the residents of Richmond would be poorer if she is voted out.
