Kingston is London's fifth greenest borough, according to a poll carried out by lifestyle paper The London Magazine.

The bi-monthly publication ranked the capital's 33 boroughs, taking into account air quality, recycling, green space and the provision of cycle paths.

The royal borough scored well in air quality and gained good marks for having 80km of cycle paths, but lost marks for recycling only 13 tonnes of rubbish and having just 11km sq of green space.

Richmond came in just ahead in joint third place with Hillingdon after scoring good marks across the board and gaining extra marks for its green space, which includes Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
