Smash and grab raiders struck at a jewellers in Surbiton this morning.
Robbers targetted FP Turner and Sons in Victoria Road at 11am.
The gang were chased by police officers who were on patrol in Surbiton but escaped in a black BMW.
Police said "minimal" jewellery was stolen and nobody was hurt.
A worker at neighbouring Surbiton Arts and Stationery said all she heard was a woman screaming but she had the radio on and the door closed during the incident.
Jenny Hale, manager of the Victoria pub said: "It only looks like a little hole in the window and they took what they could."
There was broken glass on the street afterwards.
FP Turner and Sons declined to comment on the robbery or how much had been stolen.
