Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Woolworths store in Banstead yesterday morning.
A 46-year-old woman from Mitcham and a 19-year-old man from Streatham are currently in police custody at Reigate police station.
No weapon was seen and no one was hurt in the incident.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Juliet Parker said: “Detectives from my team have been working extremely hard since this robbery yesterday morning which has resulted in two people being arrested.
“I am still appealing to anyone who has any information regarding the robbery at Woolworths to come forward, even the smallest piece of information could help our investigation.”
