Detectives investigating the murder of a Bromley man “stabbed to death in a church” in Camberwell have made two further arrests.

Mohamed Kalay was found suffering stab wounds outside St Giles' Church in Camberwell Church Street at around 9.15am on November 19, 2016.

It is believed the victim was stabbed in the church but managed to stagger outside, collapsing near Wilson Road.

London Ambulance Service took him to a south London hospital but he died later that afternoon.

A post-mortem examination found cause of death was a single stab wound to the abdomen.

Two males from south-east London - aged 20 and 16 - were arrested on Tuesday, 11 July, on suspicion of murder.

They have since been bailed to attend a south London police station on a date in mid-August.

Seven people have been arrested so far in the investigation.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder in December 2016 has been re-bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early August.

Three other men were released with no further action to be taken.

Some members of the public stopped and administered first aid until emergency services arrived.

The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command is investigating, led by Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons.
