Two burglars who brandished a knife at police officers when they were cornered in their victim's house have plead guilty.
Robert Balcerski, 22, and Damian Mroz, 25, both of Park Avenue, Mitcham, were caught red-handed as police surrounded a house in Motspur Park in Worcester Park on Wednesday, November 23 at 2pm.
The men waved a knife at police through a window of a door, and fled into the garden before splitting up.
One was tackled to the ground by PCs waiting in neighbours' gardens, while the other was spotted by a resident who saw the other hiding in their neighbour's shed.
Police dogs and helicopter were also deployed.
Both men entered guilty pleas to residential burglary at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 25.
They will be sentenced on a later date at Kingston Crown Court.
