The Conservative Party is well ahead in the Elmbridge election now having secured 22 seats so far.
The Liberal Democrats have won seven seats followed by The Molesey Residents Association with 6.
Counting is still in progress, with the Tory’s holding 43 per cent of the votes, Lib Dems have 13 per cent and The Molesey Residents Association is closely behind on nine per cent.
Aa counting began the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats were neck and neck, each winning three seats early on.
The count will continue throughout the afternoon.

Elmbridge councillors have fought to retain their seats as the number of representatives for the borough have been slashed from 60 to 48.
The Local Boundary Commission confirmed in January Elmbridge should lose 12 of its 60 councillors, and recommended ward boundary changes – which sparked concern the borough could lose pockets of identity as some wards become part of larger neighbouring wards.
