A BREXIT-BACKING London MEP struggled to keep his feelings in check when he was filmed making a rude hand gesture towards a fellow European Parliament member.
Guy Verhofstadt
Syed Kamall, who lives in Surbiton, was clearly unimpressed by former Belgium Prime Minster Guy Verhofstadt at a debate in the European Parliament this week.
The leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists appears to mouth the word ‘w****r’ before using the associated hand gesture.
Mr Verhofstadt, the leader of a pro-European group, triggered the reaction by claiming the EU had been vital in stopping major terror attacks in Europe.
Unlike the UK Parliament, where insults are banned, the European Parliament does not have rules on swearing.
