Detectives investigating the murder of West Molesey antiques dealer Robyn Mercer have appealed to the public for information, three weeks on from her death.

Ms Mercer, 50, was found beaten to death outside her house in Abbey Walk, Walton Road, on Monday, March 14 at 8am.

A post-mortem examination found she had died from multiple blows to her head.

A 52-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder the day Ms Mercer was found, is on bail until April 14.

Two 25-year-old men, arrested on March 17 and March 23 on suspicion of murder are both on bail until May 20.

Surrey Police has asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in Walton Road between 8pm on Sunday, March 13 and 8am on Monday, March 14, to contact them as “a matter of urgency”.

Officers have also asked anyone with CCTV in the area to ensure it is kept securely and is given to police.

Detective Inspector Paddy Mayers said: "This was a brutal attack which has left a family devastated. I am urging anyone with any information which might help with the enquiry to call police as soon as possible.

"Officers will be carrying out further house to house enquiries this week in the vicinity of Walton Road as the murder investigation continues.”

Anyone with information which might help with the enquiry is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting Operation Zebu.

Police had taped off a large part of the green and Abbey Walk, opposite Majestic Wine Warehouse, while forensic officers investigated when Ms Mercer was found.

A forensics tent was set up outside the home, and police dogs were called in.

Ms Mercer was a partner at the prestigious, family-owned independent antiques dealer, JH Bourdon-Smith in Masons Yard, London.

She had also organised a charity auction selling more than 70 antiques, collectables and modern luxury items which raised £10,000 for the restoration of the St Mary the Virgin church's roof in East Molesey.

Ms Mercer's family paid tribute to her in a statement released last month.

It read: “We are all utterly devastated to have lost Robyn. She was a wonderful person, loving mother and devoted friend.

“Thank you to all our friends and family for their love and support.

“We would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.”
