Flooding in Cobham is predicted to worsen as roads bordering the River Mole are under threat after the river burst its banks in Cobham yesterday.
The latest information from the Environment Agency, who issued a flood alert on January 2 covering the River Mole from Kinnersley Manor in Reigate to South Hersham, says roads and low-lying land nearby to the river are now expected to flood.

The river remained high at Downside Bridge in Cobham throughout the night, though the river levels towards Reigate did fall.
The updated information, released at 8.18pm last night, adds that property flooding is still not expected although surface water flooding is possible.
A Met Office forecast says no further rain is expected in Cobham and Hersham until Thursday, where the borough will see light showers, however the weekend through to next week looks to see heavy showers.
Riverside benches were almost underwater yesterday in Cobham
The banks alongside Mill Road in Cobham, a regular area of the flood plains to see rising water in heavy rain, was almost completely underwater yesterday with riverside benches barely visible.
Two arches of the bridge just along the river in Downside Road were famously swept away by flooding on September 17, 1968.
