Two horses died and four people were hospitalised after a crash which closed the A3 in both directions this morning.
Three cars, two loose horses and a motorcycle transporting blood were involved in the crash which happened between the Hook Underpass and Esher Common at about 3.40am.
The recipient of the blood carried by the motorcyclist was identified and it was successfully delivered to Frimley Park Hospital.
