It has happened to everyone at some point.
In the depths of winter, few things can be more frustrating than discovering one of your gloves has gone missing.
But, if one man’s tally is correct, that irritation has been felt by nearly 600 people in the borough this season.
Surbiton’s Robin Hutchinson has collated hundreds of photos of lost gloves, having begun with the modest goal of just a single hundred.
He said: “I always think a lost mitten, a child’s mitten, is without a shadow of a doubt, one of the saddest [sights].”
