Fans of a particular American breakfast treat who do not reside close to Kingston could be in trouble – because the owner of the borough’s first cereal bar claims he has bought the country’s entire stock.
The Cereal Bar, in Fife Road, will officially open this weekend, selling many varieties of cereal and 14 different milk options.
That apparently includes the UK’s entire supply of Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream, according to owner Ramon Mullan.
Mr Mullan already owns Shake House in Epsom and decided to open the new cafe because of his obsession with cereal.
He said the cafe will be aimed at students and, as well as selling cereal and milkshakes, crisp sandwiches are also on the menu.

He said: “I thought Kingston really needed a place aimed at students.
“It’s not going to be just cereal and crisps – we’re also selling milkshakes and we’re going to have things like a retro gaming night once a week.
“I’ve also bought all of the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream cereal from all the stockists in the country, so I think I’m the only person selling it.”
The new bar follows in the footsteps of the Cereal Killer Cafe, which opened in Brick Lane, Shoreditch, four months ago, to mixed reviews.
Mr Mullan insisted that he has learned from some of their mistakes.

He said: “I really like the Cereal Killer Cafe and have been there five or six times.
“But my prices are cheaper and we do milkshakes and crisps.
“I’m really into the marketing side of things and I think that Kingston is a great place to open this sort of business.”
Customers can expect to pay £2.70 a bowl for two kinds of cereal, as well as their choice of milk.
A single Pop Tart will set you back £1.50.
