A day of summer fun for all the family takes place at Long Ditton recreation ground next week.

From outdoor games and sporting activities to arts and crafts and biscuit decoration, families are invited to pop down to Windmill Lane with a picnic and enjoy the free day of festivities.

Workout sessions will also take place at the outdoor gym for attendees aged 16 and over, with instructors on hand to offer advice on exercises to suit all abilities.

Councillor Mary Sheldon, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: "This promises to be a fun day out for the whole family.

"There will many free activities on offer to keep everyone busy and entertained, so don’t miss out on some great summer fun."

The family play picnic takes place on Wednesday, August 13, from 11am to 2pm.
