A man who shone a laser pen at a police helicopter in New Malden was arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft.
India 99 was attending to reports of up to 10 people walking around on rooftops on Saturday, July 19 at 10.40pm.
It was forced to abandon its search after it was "lasered" by someone in a garden in Walton Avenue.
A 32-year-old man has been bailed until mid September.
