Two people are understood to have been arrested after a post office robbery in Kingston this afternoon.

But police are believed to still be searching for robbers around north Kingston.

Two people were arrested at about 4.40pm on suspicion of robbery of the post office in Park Road Kingston.

Twitter user @MichaelLloyd85 said:  Saw a whole load of police armed with rifles down the Kingston Gate end of Kings Road.

@BronwenGlan I saw a robber run past me and then the police shut the roads, they were on the scene very quickly

off Park Road says...

I am a regular user of this post office. It's run by quite an elderly gentleman. I do hope he is ok.
